Maintenance Mechanic

We are looking for a Mechanic who can diagnose and repair simple and complex vehicle and equipment issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks. Under limited supervision, the Mechanic position performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; performs related work as assigned.

-Diagnose, rebuild and repair vehicles and equipment (forklifts, trailers, tractors, mixers, diesel/gas trucks, brakes, pumps, etc.).
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on trucks, including tire rotation and oil changes.
- Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop.
- Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles, equipment and machinery and plan repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles, equipment and machinery.
- Use company vehicle to run errands, make service calls and roadside repairs.
- Read job order and test equipment to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
- Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
- Disassemble and overhaul internal combustion engines, pumps, generators, transmissions, clutches, and differential units.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle heating and cooling systems.
- Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.
- Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges.
- Utilizes company vehicle to run errands, make service calls, and roadside repairs.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
-Mechanic experience and knowledge in the following areas:
electrical repair
replacing starters
belts on forklifts
trailers and other equipment
No Degree Required
-2+ years' experience and/or training in vehicle/construction equipment repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
-Must possess a valid Class C license and clean driving record.
-Ability to lift and carry 50-75+ pounds.
-Excellent reading and writing skills.
-Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
-Ability to work in non-climate controlled work environment.
-OSHA regulations require workers to be at least 18 years of age.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
