Class A Route Driver
AHI Supply (a manufacturer and distributor of construction products) is currently hiring for a Route Driver!
$1,500 sign on bonus!
The person in this position will travel to Dallas, Houston, Central, and South Texas areas to pick up/deliver materials to/from vendors and customers. The driver will normally be responsible for loading/unloading the materials using a forklift. The person filling this position will also be responsible for conducting pre and post trip inspections according to FMSCA guidelines, ensuring all shipping credentials are correct with quantity and product, performing work and deliveries in a professional manner, contacting dispatch when reaching destinations to confirm loads, and strapping/tarping loads securely when necessary.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates MUST have a valid Class A CDL, 2-5 years experience driving tractor trailers, and have a hazmat endorsement. If candidates do not have a hazmat, they will be required to get one within 90 days of being employed.
Schedule:
Normal schedule is Monday through Friday 3AM - approx. 2PM, however these hours are subject to change with or without notice depending on company needs. Driver must be flexible with his/her schedule and able and willing to come in with or without notice when needed. The person in this position will also be required to work some Saturdays, leaving as early as 4am and finishing around 12pm.
Benefits:
Driver will be eligible for medical and dental insurance after 90 days of employment as well as 4 paid sick days and 6 paid holidays per year. After one year of employment, drivers are eligible to participate in the 401K plan and will receive 5 paid vacation days, which renew each year on the anniversary date.
AHI Supply maintains a drug and alcohol free workplace. All applicants offered a position with AHI supply will be required to take and pass an offsite pre-employment drug test, alcohol screen and also submit to a criminal background check. (A conviction does not automatically bar you from employment. Criminal background checks will be considered on a case by case basis).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
