Reynolds Company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shop Lead / Fiber Laser Operator to join our team, serving the Aerospace/Oil and gas industries.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming our 4 KW fiber laser, keeping track of sheet metal usage, creating shipping paperwork for outgoing jobs, and receiving materials ensuring proper traceability.
Responsibilities:
1.
Machine Programming:
- Generate 2D programs for 4KW Fiber laser.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure parts are cutting in tolerance.

005) - Conduct thorough inspections using calipers and CMMs to verify the quality and precision of laser cut parts.

Order Management:
- Communicate with shop hands and operators to load materials onto the fiber laser, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize material usage and minimize waste.
- Maintain organization of programs, program sheets, and material usage sheets.

Quality Assurance:
- Assist in inspecting finished components to ensure they meet strict quality standards and adhere to customer specifications, filling out dimensional inspection reports as needed.
- Troubleshoot and correct any deviations from the required tolerances 4.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality control standards.

Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and quality checks.
- Communicate any deviations or issues to the appropriate personnel.

Maintenance:
- Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
- Clean machinery and maintain work area.

Shipping paperwork:
- Create shipping paperwork for complete orders, ensuring correct data entry.
- Delivery tickets, Certificate of Conformances, Material Test Reports, Inspection Reports, etc.
- Receive materials in, correctly mark materials with traceable information, and ensure they are received in the computer system as well.
Requirements:

Years of experience operating and programming CNC Fiber Lasers.

Years of experience dealing with shipping and receiving paperwork.
3.
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
4.
Strong understanding of sheet metal processes and equipment.
5.
Attention to detail and ability to work with precision to meet tight tolerances.
6.
Familiarity with materials commonly used in aerospace and oil & gas applications.
7.
Knowledge of safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
8.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
9.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
10.
Strong communication skills to convey information accurately and efficiently.
11.
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 30 lbs.

Willingness to work overtime if needed.

Permanent work authorization for the US required.

High school diploma or equivalent.
