Summary:
The Grant Writer is dedicated to the Center's mission to provide quality health care to all people without prejudice, in a caring manner, regardless of their ability to pay and is responsible for identifying private and government funding to support the Center's mission.
This position supports the Center's vision to be the leader in providing quality services and program that meet or exceed the expectations of our customers.
This is a growth opportunity position.
The Grant Writer assists the Chief Administrative Officer and the Lead Grant Development Specialist in preparing private and government grant applications.
This position secures new grants and assists with existing grants, which includes performing data research, assisting with preparing the proposal and grant reports.
This position collaborates with program, facility, and finance staff to ensure projects are appropriately represented and accounted for in the grant process.
This position must be detail oriented, demonstrate superior writing skills, and exhibit excellent initiative and accountability.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Assists Lead Grant Development Specialist and CAO with private grant and governmental proposals, including writing and editing private grant proposals, conducting research for data needs, collaborating with staff as needed for supporting information, and gathering attachments required for proposals Prepares private foundation grant submissions from submission to award and closeout.
Assists in preparing periodic and final narrative reports and other documentation as required for the program by using a grant tracking tool to monitor project deadlines and ensure reports are submitted in a timely manner Identifies new and appropriate grant opportunities through the grants database, Foundations Online, to support CHN's new and existing projects Collaborates with program and financial departments on grant projects to ensure successful outcomes by providing support throughout the lifecycle of the project, including planning and evaluating Assists with other narrative documents in collaboration with the CAO, including the Annual Needs Assessment and Annual Report by conducting research and collecting health data Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Administrative Officer Required Skills/Abilities:

Must have a documented history in Grant Writing High school diploma Preferred Education and

Bachelor's degree Experience with SAMHSA grants Supervision
